David Crowder Band What is there to say? We are a band that was formed in a smallish college town in central texas, and we are a band that still lives in that afore mentioned smallish college town in central Texas. All of us went to Baylor University for at least a little while. We still like the school, though none of us really follow the sports teams like we should, and we still care very much for the students there. You might say that they are the reason (both the literal students, and their metaphorical brothers and sisters across the country) that we do what we do. We have some albums out there, and we travel around quite a bit. Our newest effort, Church Music, was released in Novermber, and we are embarking on an extensive tour around the same time. We like people, puppies, kittens, beaches, mountains, walks, bike rides, movies, and television, but not always in that order. We also like a varied and eclectic collection of music. We will go ahead and not list it right now, in essence of time. |

Robbie Seay Band There’s something to be said for being comfortable with being uncomfortable, for being at a place in your life where you’ve settled in. A place where you know who you are – both the good and the bad – and you know your purpose, and as difficult as it can be some days, you’re more than okay with it. Welcome to the world of Robbie Seay Band. Robbie Seay Band is a group of musicians bent on creating art, not only for art’s sake, but for the sake of giving authentic voice to the hopes, fears, joys and sorrows of everyday people. Honed from community life at Ecclesia Church Houston, where Robbie Seay and his band serve on a weekly basis, their songs are a call and response to life, to what God is doing in their midst, as it happens. “Music comes from that communal place, in nature, in worship, in stories, sermons, conversations...” Robbie Seay says. “Part of the calling of a worship leader is to be compelled and obligated to voice the prayers of the community and live in the middle of what’s truly happening in your community. That is far more powerful than simply regurgitating and mimickingmusic from other communities.” Their third album, Miracle releases March 23, 2010. |

Tenth Avenue North With one listen to Tenth Avenue North’s unique brand of intellectual, melodic pop-rock, it becomes obvious that songwriter Mike Donehey and his band mates have a gift for expressing truth in a way that simultaneously educates, enlightens and entertains. “Simply, our mission as a band is to know Christ and to make him known,” says Donehey. Band members are as much teachers as artists, demonstrating this through their intellectual, yet vulnerably accessible songs that echo the heart of the human condition and the hope of the risen Savior. |
